I came in to pick up my online order and had brought up some yarn that was in the colors I needed with the same lot number Incase they weren’t pulled that way. Monica the assistant manager was behind the counter and was frustrated bc I needed to change some of the things I ordered online bc they didn’t match up color wise with what I had purchased somewhere else. Then she was irritated that I was asking questions about how they rang up bc it was supposed to be buy 2 get 1. The receipt showed discounting it not off. So at this time the manager was taking the register beside her. I completed my transaction and pulled aside to try to understand the receipt and said I was going to just take another look bc it still seemed high. She put her head in her hands like she couldn’t believe I would want to make sure it rung up properly. So I said oh you’re the manager to the actual manager beside her and she said yes and with an attitude, so is she. I said yes and she said well what’s your problem? What can I help you with and I told her I was just trying to make sure that the receipt came up properly and I didn’t understand why it was said with an attitude and I’ve been getting an attitude trying to make sure things are correct. The manager then said well I don’t think she had an attitude but maybe it’s because we’ve been working 12 hours and we’re extremely understaffed so basically I am the customer I just spent $100 in your store and I am wrong because I wanted to ask questions about making sure that my online order was correct and that I got a deal got it but it’s OK because you guys are overworked . Which I can completely empathize with had it been said without the second person with attitude. As a consumer, I’m just trying to also make sure my dollar goes as far as possible. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that nor should I be told that basically I am in the wrong because I wanted to question why the receipt rang out that way if you’re understaffed, I don’t think that should give you an excuse to be rude to your customers just saying. I won’t be shopping here ever again, and I will be sharing my horrible experience i recieved from the MANAGERS AT THIS STORE.
I don’t know where to start. First of all the candle holders I ordered online for my wedding are beautiful, but I had to order them twice. The first time they didn’t ship on time and they were returned by fedex for damages to the package. They never made it to me. They don’t reship orders. I received a full refund and had to order again. They raised the price. So I paid more for the order. They were delivered on time this time, but 7/17 pieces were broken. Some shattered. 6 of them weren’t even wrapped. You have to download the app to contact customer care. Some of the features on the app and website don’t work. I mean how ridiculous is that? Needless to say if I ever shopped with this company again, it will definitely be in store. I highly doubt it. I do not advise anyone to ever order anything online. I don’t care if it is being delivered to the store.
Their fabric section is to die for! Any type of print you're looking for, and some you aren't. Sales are amazing, and the prices cannot be beaten. Love, love, love their seasonal designs, as well. Just wish we had 2 stores so I wouldn't have to go all the way to Haywood Road to shop.
Really the only chain fabric store left in Greenville. Selection is okay...not easy to find items in overfilled, overpacked, disorganized shelves and displays. Most of the staff does Not sew or craft and can't answer questions about how to use the fabric or craft item ... they are there strictly to sell you stuff! DON'T ever use these restrooms ... I have never been in a worse ladies room!!! The stench was overwhelming! Paper on the floor, multiple airfresheners didn't help, no paper towels, overflowing And nonfunctional toilets. When I let the manager know - she just shrugged and said they were working on it.
If possible, don't go to this location. The drive to Spartanburg is worth it for better selection, nicer staff, cleaner store!
I walked in the store, not really knowing where to find the products I was interested in purchasing there was no one on the floor to help me with any questions or to find the product I needed, so I just walked out
Went to Joann's especially because of their extensive yarn selection. Much more of a selection than any other store in the area. High price specialty to bargain priced crafters yarn. Got a lot of variegated colors not available elsewhere to match up with solids for my hats I'm making for the Christmas Angel Tree. I make one of a kind warm hats in striking color matches especially for kids.
I should have know better than to come to a Joanns. They do not honor the shelf price on items regardless as to how many units were on the shelf. Waited in line with a large piece of foam. When I got to the register I was told I needed to get out of line and have it cut. I did not want it cut. I wanted to but the entire piece for the shelf price of $39.99. Fabric cutter insisted I needed to have it cut. Then they told me it was buy priced by the yard. Went back and checked and now where on the shelf tag does it say per yard. Staff was not friendly or helpful. I will go to the foam and fabric store by my home in NC.
